The Mud Run Guide team is very pleased to announce that beginning today, September 1, 2015, Mud + Adventure is now a part of the MRG family. Launched in 2012, Mud + Adventure (mudandadventure.com) grew quickly to become an extremely popular destination for finding races, news, reviews, and gear, and could very well be considered as one of the cornerstones of the obstacle racing community. Founder Paul Buijs has been a staple at OCR's all over North America – most notably at dozens of Spartan Race events – as an elite athlete and ambassador to the sport of obstacle course racing.

As the sport of OCR has exploded exponentially over the past 3 years, Mud + Adventure's rise in popularity required a huge time investment to continually deliver the quality of information they are known for, making it difficult to balance the travel and racing schedule of an active athlete. By bringing M+A inline with Mud Run Guide, many brand synergies can be realized and more efficiently delivered to obstacle course racing, mud run, and outdoor activity enthusiasts around the globe.

“This is a great day for both MRG & M+A, I've been friends with Paul for a few years and we've always talked about the “right time” for us to join forces on a project, and I'm proud to say that dream has now been realized.”

“Chris and I are amazed with Paul's accomplishments over the past 4 years, and the entire team is very excited to put all of Mud Run Guide's lessons learned and resources into operating and continuing to develop Mud + Adventure as a leader in the sport of OCR, as well as all adventure-based sports worldwide.”

– Mud Run Guide CEO, Brett Stewart

“I am stoked to hand over the reigns of my baby, a site that many people believed in and helped grow, to a group of people who are not only equally as passionate about the sport of obstacle racing but also the best qualified to deliver the sport's most relevant information to the masses.”

– Paul Buijs, Founder, Mud and Adventure

Mud + Adventure will continue to operate as normal, delivering the best in events, news, and gear during the transition, and short-term enhancements will be announced as they are implemented – including an in-depth integration with OCR Gear.
