Earlier this month, Terrain Racing was the center of the OCR world after three races were postponed to 2017 and their registration system had a glitch in their system. This happened in the wake of BattleFrog Series closing up shop and the industry was still reeling from the announcement. Today, Terrain Racing issued an apology to the OCR Community for the undue stress the postponement caused on many who love OCR. Below is the full statement from Terrain Racing.

Terrain Racing would like to issue an apology to the obstacle racing community for any undue stress caused by the recent changes to our 2016 schedule. This is a community we love and we are proud to be a part of it. Three of our 2016 events (New York City, Houston, and Miami) have been postponed until 2017 due to unforeseen circumstances. Three of our 2016 events (New York City, Houston, and Miami) have been postponed until 2017 due to unforeseen circumstances. While we understand that this may not be convenient, it will serve to provide a much better experience for all registered competitors and participants. As reflected on our website Houston will now be hosted on February 25th, 2017 and Miami will be hosted on March 11th, 2017. As of right now, our team is coordinating with our New York venue to finalize a date in 2017. We currently have two dates available and are working with the venue to determine the best date possible to ensure the best OCR experience for all competitors and participants. Any participants impacted by these changes will be notified via e-mail and will automatically be transferred to the new dates.

In the wake of an amazing event having to close its doors, we would like to take this opportunity to ensure the OCR community that we have no intentions of following suit. In fact, our 2017 plans only include growth with the acquisition of a second set of obstacles and equipment. This will allow us to reach further into the OCR community and host multiple events in two different locations on the same weekend. We hope to have our entire 2017 schedule finished soon so stay tuned to our website and our social media pages for updates.

“Terrain Racing is not going anywhere. This year we have expanded from a western based company to a nationwide company and have seen continued growth and success. We are proud of the events we’ve hosted this year and our objective continuing into 2017 is to put on high-quality events at an affordable price for all to enjoy OCR.” – Jerry Foreman – Terrain Racing
