The Mud Run Guide community is toeing the starting line around the world this weekend. As the fall chill is in the air, top athletes are in final prep for the championship season. Age group athletes are getting ready to try to capture their own titles at events like Spartan World Championships and OCR World Championships. Others in our community are just going out there testing themselves and taking on a local OCR. As the Mud Run Guide community continues to grow each week we highlight two members who stood out.

Bonnie Wilson our social media guru went through the hundreds of photos you tagged #mudrunguide in this past week. She picked two that stood out from the crowd. This week our featured community members at Savage Race and Bonefrog.

Michelle Brook (@itsmichellebrook) was tackling challenges at a recent Savage Race. She writes:

“Before ➡️ After ? I view race obstacles as life lessons. Sometimes in life, you know in order to get through a challenge (good/bad), you have to ultimately take the initial step or initial jump to make change happen. For most, that initial action is tough and driven with a lot of anxiety due to the perception of not wanting failure to occur. For others, too much confidence alongside with not enough experience can trigger failure to occur followed by an unpleasant moment. At the end of the day, we can’t win it all. All that matters is that you give what you have and make that initial step or jump. If you don’t, you will never know the outcome. If you fail, you fail. Use it as a life lesson. Learn from it. If you succeed, understand why you did so and embrace it!”
