Terrapin Adventues Register for The Terrapin and the Hare 5K Mud Run and help bring recess to 24 schools in the Baltimore area! The Terrapin and the Hare Mud Run is a fun, high intensity, obstacle course run through the woods of Savage, Maryland. Starting at Terrapin Adventures, the Terrapin and the Hare will include 5 Kilometers of challenging terrain and will contain obstacles such as climbing walls, tires, webs, and, of course, mud. If you like a challenge and some food topped off with a beer from the Rams Head Tavern at the finish, then the Terrapin and the Hare is the race for you.

Terrapin Adventures and Playworks Baltimore Terrapin Adventures is proud to host our 3rd annual Terrapin and the Hare Mud Run. At Terrapin Adventures we are always looking for ways to give back to the community. Through our Terrapin and the Hare 5k Mud Run we can do just that! This year we have partnered with Playworks Baltimore, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve the health and well being of Baltimore children through increasing opportunities for physical activity and safe, meaningful play. Please help our efforts by joining in the run and fundraising for the school children of our community.

Come run, jump, climb and get muddy for recess on May 5!

Course Description:

You will have to conquer over a dozen unique obstacles on your way though our 5k course. Below are brief descriptions of each planned race obstacle.

3D Spider Web - Don't get tangled.
Up and Under - Climb over and duck under some fences.
High Step - It's just an old football exercise. Did you play?
Noodle Factory - there will plenty of leftovers.
Mill Race Run - Run along the old mill race where logs and other obstacles will be in your way.
Down and Dirty - This one may be a little muddy.
Tire Alley - run through tires that are hanging in the air and lying on the ground.
Climbing Wall - Yep you have to climb this one.
Run Deer Run - Navigate through the woods on the deer trails. Don't step in any scat.
Cardiac Hill - this one is a ""just a little steep.""
Short Man's Tunnel - don't bump your head.
Foam Party - run through the tunnel of foam!
Water Station - Water/First Aid...its not an obstacle unless you want it to be.

Aid Stations:

There will be medics on the trail about half way through the course, and there will be a water station.

Awards:

There will be prizes for the top 3 women and top 3 men (all ages included)

Spectators:

Spectators are free and there are specific places for them at the beginning of the race and at the finish line. Spectators are encourage and welcome to the after party

Parking:

Parking is free, but limited. Encouraged car polling

Post Party:

There is an after party at Rams Head Tavern with food and drink specials, a DJ, possible raffles and fun games with Playworks Maryland!

Other:

The race is like a color run meets tough mudder. There's mud, along with other obstacles throughout the race.
This is an event to support Success in Style.
It is a race for all ages and can be as competitive or as fun as you choose it to be. There will be a place to hold your belongings during the race and a wash off station for after the race.

Team:

Welcome to sign up as a team, just sign up for the same way, but there are no official teams.
