Course Description:
This is a 5K Mud Run with 10 different obstacles, possibly 12. In no particular order there will be a corrugated pipe subterranean sprawl, log/branch mud crawl, rope over and under maze, 15' hay roll with rope assisted climb, vertical cement pipe ""Mario Bros' style"" jump through course, 5' over or under wall, tire run, camo netting topped long mud crawl, Coronado Crossing rope bridge, and a ramp and barrel Jump n' Bump. This is our first year and the difficulty has not yet been rated.
Aid Stations:
Aid stations are still being determined, and are being manned by Red Cross volunteers. Paramedics will be on standby. Water fruit and snacks will be provided at the finish line.
Awards:
Top 3 Overall Male & Female will receive Awards.
Top 3 Male & Female of Age Groups: 14-19;20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50- 59; 60 & Over.
Kids age specific group awards as well.
Spectators:
Spectator prices are $5 and can be purchased the day of the race. There is a designated viewing area but spectators are free to walk about the course.
This applies unless you are an adult accompanying small children on the Kids Course and you can get in for Free.
Parking:
There is plenty of parking, and pricing will be determined at the time of the event or shortly before.
Post Party:
There will be a post party with DJ services and food and beverage vendors as well.
Other:
The entire special event is handled by the United Way. All proceeds will go to the United Ways of both Trumbull County Ohio and Mercer County Pennsylvania.
The minimum age for the kids race is 5 years old up to age 13. There are no actual swimming challenges but there is a refreshing lake to rinse off, after the run.
We also offer sponsorship opportunities for organizations, name recognition, obstacle naming rights, media promotions, corporate names on t-shirts.
Team:
Teams are more than welcome to participate, sign-ups will be held as individuals. There are no official teams as of yet for this event.
