Race Start Time:

Event starts with Elite Heat at 9:00 AM.
Heats scheduled every half hour until 12:00.
Each wave will be broken down into smaller groups to avoid bottlenecks at obstacles.

Long Island Adventure The Long Island Adventure Race is not a typical 'Mud Run' or a Running Race. Having a mud pit and simply getting you dirty isn't enough. Our goal is to combine unique obstacles and challenges, along with running or walking in an exciting atmosphere. The race is a well thought out event that can satisfy not only the most seasoned athlete but the weekend warrior as well. Our course is designed so all ages and abilities can have a great time.

You can choose to compete against other individuals, run for fun or just push yourself to do something that you can tell your friends about. Although, no need to tell your friends if they are along side of you.

We also have a unique 3-person team segment. This team competition currently has several groups already talking smack. Who will win the the bragging rights? Will the Cross-Fit groups from the city beat the Long Island groups or will the Planet Fitness group win it all. Only time will tell.

Course Description:

The Long Island Adventure Race is not a typical ""Mud Run"" or a Running Race.
Having a mud pit and simply getting you dirty isn't enough.
Our goal is to combine unique obstacles and challenges, along with running or walking in an exciting atmosphere.
The race is a well thought out event that can satisfy not only the most seasoned athlete but the weekend warrior as well.
Our course is designed so all ages and abilities can have a great time. How can this be? Our signature ""choose your obstacle"" offers more challenging Black Diamond Obstacles or an easier Green Circle Obstacles throughout the course.
Course is a mostly flat trail run.
This is a non-timed event.

Aid Stations:

There will be 2 water stations along the course.
There will be water and fruit at the Finishline.
Paramedics are onsite, on standby, all obstacles will be monitored.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome (free) in the designated viewing areas, but must stay off the course.

Parking:

Parking is onsite, carpooling recommended, $10 Parking fee.
Parking fees are donated to the many organizations that help make the event possible.

Post Party:

Stay and hang out for our post-party, DJ, food vendors while cheering on finishers!

Other:

The minimum age to race is 8 years old.
Children race on the same course but will choose the ""Green Circle"" obstacles.
This event will be un-timed due to the variety of choice that can be made throughout the course.
There will be a gear check area. Hose down ""Showers"" are provided by the local Fire Department and changing tents are provided.

You can create or join a team during the registration process.
