Course Description:

The Crucible is the ultimate race experience that combines 5+ miles rugged terrain with unique and challenging obstacles. It is the greatest test of stamina, mental determination, fitness, and camaraderie.

We offer more waves which means less crowding, an amazing kids race, competitive heats and bigger obstacles. Our trademark obstacle, The Crucible, will test everything about you when you didn't think you had anymore to give.

Aid Stations:

3 Aid Stations will be on course every 1.5-2 miles. Paramedics will also be onsite. Finish Line will have fruit and water to rehydrate your body after a rough course.

Awards:

Awards for top 3 Men/Women/4-person teams are plaques recognizing your accomplishment. Cash and prizes TBA!!

Prizes:

Cash and prizes are TBA!!

Spectators:

Free! There will be designated viewing areas for the free spectators. Spectators will be able to enjoy the post race party with racers.

Parking:

Parking is $10 per car and paid in cash. Carpooling would help keep your costs down and the parking lot open for more people. It is out in the country so the less cars, the better. You will be within walking distance of the starting line.

Post Party:

Corn Fed Spartans post race party for the Corn Fed Crucible will be epic!! We have always thrown the best post race parties at other races, with this race being our own, we spare no expense. We will have food, vendors, music, DJ's, and anything else our crazy team can think of!!

After party will start as soon as you are done with your race. Will be held in the after party area/camping area. The reason is is epic is that all of the Corn Fed Spartans family get together to celebrate what brought us together, racing, OCRs, and that is worth a celebration.

Other:

If you cannot complete an obstacle, yell Corn Fed. That will let others know to come to your aid. If there does not happen to be anyone around, 20 Man Makers.
The competitive race entails being chipped timed with the top 3 men/women/4 person teams getting honors.
Camping will be onsite within walking distance of the event festival area and start/finish lines. Camping is $25 and is completely primitive.
Bring change of clothes, shoes, towel, money for parking, camping, food and merchandise.
The Crucible will proceed unless under extremely bad weather conditions (tornado, blizzard, etc). Should there be cause to cancel the event, an alternative date will be chosen and your entry will be transferred to that date. Sorry....NO REFUNDS!
Anyone who is 14 years old or older by the day of the event can participate. Participants under the age of 18 must have adult pick up packet and sign waiver.
There are 2 kids races. A .5 mile course for 4-8 year olds and a 1 mile course for 9-13 year olds.
Cost is $5 for gear check.
Knowing how to swim is always helpful, but not necessary. If you are uncomfortable with it, let one of our volunteers know, and you will be allowed to do 20 man makers to bypass the obstacle.
All of us at CFS Racing and Corn Fed know that there is nothing worse than having to drive home in your muddy, dirty, wet clothing and there will be onsite restrooms, showers, and changing areas.
Does your event give money to charity? - The Corn Fed Spartans as a team do. All For Hope, a non for profit, donates money to children's cancer research, is our charity. There is a spot to donate money to them on the registration page.

Team:

We welcome every team to show up and help the Corn Fed Spartans and CFS Racing create this race and show everyone in the OCR community who your team is. Whether you are big or small, all that matters is that you are here with your friends, family, and people close to you in this.

Since there is a 4-person team event for prizes, we do ask one thing. Instead of signing up under the team you are a part of, sign up as a different team i.e. . For Example: Corn Fed Spartans Elite Team 1.
