Race Start Time:
Race starts at 8:30am. Heats are broken out by speed and each heat starts as soon as the last heat disappears into the woods. Last year, the last heat disappeared into the woods about 10 minutes after the first heat.

Course Description:
Although the race venue starts in Fair Oaks Park, 99% of the race takes place on the Harry Moss DORBA Park Trails. This is a challenging and pretty winding, woodsy trail run with 2 stream crossings and lots of little 5' to 15' hills in the first mile but relatively flat in the last two+ miles. At 12 stations along the way, the runner must stop and perform a brief exercise. If on the other hand, you are really pushing for speed, you can buy your way out of the exercise by dropping a piece of litter off as your run by. This is a CHIP-TIMED race, so runners can buy out of the exercise by dropping off a piece of litter as they run by each station.
Aid Stations:
Water station at the halfway mark but no aid stations.
Awards:
Awards for male and female, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each 5 year age bracket.
Prizes include trophy, reusable hot/cold drink cup, and gift coupons.

Spectators are free
Parking:
Parking is at the south end of the venue field. There are several overflow lots within 300 meters.
Post Party:
Free food and drinks provided by vendors.
Other:
This event helps support the Environmental League chapters at several area schools. Students in these chapters work to clean up city parks and participate in local environmental projects and groups. Funds from our annual Trash Dash are used to take these kids camping, many for the first time in their lives.
