Holiday Valley Mudslide Holiday Valley Mudslide is a mudrun that's FUN. Yes, you'll get muddy, yes there is running, yes there are 9 obstacles but NO fire, NO barbed wire and NO electric shocks! The 3.5 mile course starts at the top of the mountain at Spruce Lake (we'll even give you a ride up on a chairlift) and runs along the ridgeline then down the hill. The 5.4 mile course adds a bit of uphill running, just in case you're feeling especially tough.

Course Description:

The 3.5 mile course goes from Spruce Lake, across the cross country trails to the top of Eagle, down Woodstock, across Explorer to Morning Star then through the woods and across Mardi Gras, down Holiday Run to Edelweiss and finish at the Training Center. The short course elevation has a drop of 600 feet - downhill!
The 5.4 mile course adds a loop from Eagle across to Cindy's, down a logging road to lower Bear Cub and back uphill to Explorer. This section is so steep we've installed ropes to help you scramble up! You'll navigate eleven obstacles along the trail and the final challenge is a giant mud slide down lower Yodeler.

Awards:

Prizes will be awarded to the overall 3 fastest males and females. Chip Timing and matt starts and finishes will be in place this year.

Prizes:

Costumes are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded to the most creative.

Spectators:

Spectators may ride for $5.

Parking:

Parking is located in the Yodeler Lodge parking lot, all competitors ride the Spruce Lake lift to the start of the race, please allow 30 minutes to get from registration to the start line.

Post Party:

Tunes, games and plenty of liquid refreshments will be at the post race party on the Champagne Sundeck, just outside the Yodeler Lodge. The Vendor Village will have several local shops and related booths. Starting at 11:30, competitors will receive a free hot dog and 2 beverages. Friends and family are welcome to purchase food and beverages and join in the fun. A DJ will keep the party goin' on. Bring your (friendly) dogs, frisbees, hula hoops and smiles.

Other:

Check in and a bag check is from 8AM to 11AM at the Yodeler Lodge. After your run you can shower under the snowguns and changing facilities will be available.
