Entry is by Invitation Only, Contact Us and tell us why you think you can finish. Very limited entry, entrants must be pre-approved based on racing experience.
Course Description:
The race course will follow along the 50k course with some “fun”
deviations making it longer than 70km. The obstacles are setup to make
this course a pass or fail. This course will have some of the most
challenging obstacles ever seen in an obstacle course event.
Along with several ascents and descents of the Maderas Volcano, you
will be challenged with climbing, swimming lakes & jungle rivers,
carrying all sorts of things, digging, running brutal terrain, throwing
(maybe throwing up), memorizing and overall surviving this epic event!
The Obstacles will not be revealed until race day, be ready for
anything!
Warning: This race is not for everyone! While the obstacles may sound
fun and challenging, the course is going to be set up as pass or fail. A
Survival Runner can complete the event only through his/her success on
the obstacles. There will be no burpees or time penalties for missing
obstacles, but not finishing an obstacle means the Survival Runner may
reach the finish line with an incomplete finish. This course will be
very dangerous, there are no feather beds or lattes in your Survival
Running future.
Aid Stations:
Food/Water Aid will be provided at Stations only if runner can complete the memorization task for that checkpoint.
To be eligible for prize money and Winner’s Trophy, Survival Runners cannot receive medical aid during race. *Survival Runners can carry their own medical kit
Awards:
PRIZE MONEY will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Female Finishers. (Purse TBA) . All Obstacles must be completed to be eligible for the prize and Winner’s Trophy.
Other:
Cutoff Time for the Survival Run is 15 hours
You must be physically able to run over 70km, Swim, Climb, Jump and Carry heavy things.
