Course Description:
The Burner starts in a converted motocross track heavily filled with shorter obstacles and small hills to get you warmed up, then sends you off into the woods to face ""The Burner Hills"" which left our runners crawling up and trying not to slide back down. This year, we're including more of our man made obstacles in the woods as a way to break up the challenge of the natural hills and water crossings a little better and to fix a bit of a dead space we had in there. Escaping the woods brings you back to a civilization of sorts while lapping a flat track and returning to another converted motocross track filled with some of our favorite obstacles, from the oil slick slip n slide, to ""da' wall,"" named by our founder because what else do you call a 15 foot halfpipe standing between you and a finish line?
Aid Stations:
Aid, water and rest stations will be set up at several points on the course. EMS will be on site and fruit/water will be provided at stations and the finish line.
Spectators:
As of last year, spectator tickets cost $20 and included parking. spectators could roam the course freely and the course is set up with roughly a dozen of the obstacles viewable from the festival grounds
Parking:
Parking is included in all prepurchased tickets but $20 for anything showing up at the gate. This cost is counted in the price of registration so if you're spectating, the parking cost is your spectator ticket and if you're running, then the at the gate ticket cost is -$20 less than the online price with the $20 for parking making your total the same
Other:
The Burner is a proud supporter of Akron Children's Hospital with a portion of each ticket plus donations going to support their local campus in the Mahoning Valley.
