The course is laid out on 23 acres that include hills, forests, and fields. The course includes 16 brawn obstacles:
The course begins with a 100ft slide that will be soaked in soapy water on a natural incline that ends with a splash. Then participants will attempt to cross a 20ft pond, landing on an island in the middle and trudging through a 5 feet using a rope to get back on land. Participants will then follow a slough through a tree line climbing over logs and jumping through tires until they come to a barbwire fence where they will run along a bull pen and climb over a hay wall just before entering a dark forest. Once out of the dark forest participants will army crawl through a 20 foot pit of mud under a net. Once out from under the net they will head up a hill and enter a paint ball range where they will aim at targets strategically placed in the tree line. Finally, the participants will run for the finish line where they will be pelted with a color splash finish! Along the way participants will attempt to answer 5 brain teasers before advancing to the next obstacle.
There will be an Aid Station on site with a nurse manning the station.
There will be a food court with barbeque hamburgers and hot dogs, pop, chips and concession type items.
Ten vendors have been invited and the fire department will be hosing down competitors for a small fee following the race.
Spectators are free to roam the course and watch participants.
Parking is free.
Chris Norman will be sharing his story the evening of the race at 6pm - NFL draft nominee in 2011. Four-year letter winner, a three-year starting linebacker at Michigan State, collected 197 tackles in 50 career games, including 32 starts. Recorded 8 tackles in 4 bowl games.
