VIEW MORE DETAILS

Course Description:

The Major's Northern event is held in the stately grounds of Bramham Park, near Leeds. The grand home sitting in the centre of the Estate is a sight to behold, but the Major's troops are more interested in showing you the multitude of muddy bogs, thick woods and river crossings that surround it - as well as the infamous giant slide, spider's web and the dreaded ice crawl - a real treat for you tough Northerners!

The courses are hilly, muddy and wet but designed for participants of a standard fitness level. There is no time limit and there are plenty of instructors around the course to help out.
The course covers varied terrain - some sections will have loose woodland floor underfoot, some obstacles will be through water with riverbed stones etc. underfoot.
Over the 5k course there are approx. 10 obstacles and over the 10k course there are approx. 20 obstacles.

Aid Stations:

There is a first aid station at the event village with medics on standby. There is a water station on the course.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome but as we work on private Estates there is a limited area they can walk to. Due to the nature of the course spectators will only be able to view a small section of the race towards the start and finish line. Please keep to the spectator areas at all times so that we are welcomed back onto the Estates for future Major Series.

Parking:

There is a car park at the venue that is provided free of charge. Cars will be parked on grass and depending on conditions, they may need a bit of a push to get out! There will be plenty of people on hand to help out and signage to the event village.

Other:

There will be a small area for changing, within a tent. There will also be a kit storage area for car keys only – please leave your bulky items with a friend or in your car.
There will be toilets but no shower facilities.
There will also be hot drinks and food vendors so bring along some cash for snacks. Finally, there will be music, and plenty of entertainment for spectators watching the runners tackle the final gauntlet to the finish line!

Team:

Enter as a group of 10 or more and receive 10% off your entry fee!
Team captains must pre-purchase all places as one transaction.
