Run of the Dead Protect your brain and run for your life. This is one race where your legs giving out are the least of your problems. Run of the Dead is a unique event, one part 5K, one part obstacle course/mud run, one part escaping the clutches of zombies — and all parts AWESOME.
Runners will navigate a series of challenging obstacles throughout a 5K course (through fields, wooded areas, swamps, rocks, hills and of course mud) in an attempt to reach the finish line — all while avoiding blood thirsty zombies. YES ZOMBIES. At the end of your wave, you can stick around and celebrate survival (or zombie transformation) with fellow runners, live music, zombies, food, and of course, beer!

Course Description:

The ROTD is not simply a road run with some actors chasing after you: this is an obstacle course through a hand-created, wooded trail with original/challenging obstacles, and plenty of places for our zombies to hang out and hide. Not only have we built some really cool obstacles, but the area has also blessed us with some great natural obstacles (including mud, lots of mud) and the forest looks like something out of a horror movie, especially in the fall.

Aid Stations:

Wilderness Search and rescue group has stations set up throughout the course. This is also a benefit for them.

Awards:

Your award is not getting your brain eatin by a zombie.

Spectators:

$10 dollars to spectate and enjoy some awesome people watching opportunities.

Parking:

General Parking is free.
$15.00 for a VIP parking pass. (Parks you right next to the action)

Post Party:

DJ Dance party, Bon Fire and Food is available for purchase.

Other:

This event is a charity event for The Wilderness Search and rescues group. This event single handedly keeps them going year to year so if you get lost in the woods they can come find you.

Team:

Teams are welcome but all sign ups are done on a individual basis. If you want to run with other sign up in the same wave. If for some reason you couldn't all fit in the same wave let us know and we will make it work.
