Course Description:
The Udderly Muddy Rugged Run features these events:
Stampede of Champions (3 mile run [round trip] to and from the Fairgrounds)
Puddle Partner Paddle (a canoe challenge for two teammates)
Blazing Bull's-eye (archery challenge)
Mosey Over The Moon (a challenge involving a giant hay bale)
Bovine Balance Beam (balancing challenge)
Water Buffalo Wallow (mud crawl)
Some challenges will require the full team to participate; others will let teams pick a specific number of participants to complete the challenge. Details about the course and how many participants are required in each challenge will be provided in the check-in packet on June 7.
Aid Stations:
Water refill stations will be available at some of the challenges.
Awards:
Trophies and other prizes will be awarded for Best Time (first, second, third), Best Costume, and Most Experienced Herd (highest average of team member's ages). Awards will be handed out at 12:30 PM at the Fairgrounds.
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome at the Lewis County Fairgrounds to watch the beginning and end of the race, free of charge. They will not be permitted to roam around Maple Ridge Center.
Parking:
Parking is free of charge at the Lewis County Fairgrounds. Due to the Beaver Camp Benefit Auction happening at the same time and place, we recommend carpooling, if possible. A remote lot and shuttles are not available.
Post Party:
A post-party is not planned at this time. Participants are encouraged to support the Beaver Camp Benefit Auction through purchase of food and other goods.
Other:
The Udderly Muddy Rugged Run is a fundraiser for Beaver Camp's summer camp program. Participants should be at least 13 years old; at least one member of the team must be at least 18 years old. Participants do not need to know how to swim. PFDs will be provided and must be worn for the canoe challenge. All participants will get muddy!
Team:
Teams should submit one registration form per team. Teams should have 4-7 members. There are no team discounts.
