Course Description:
For 2014, the Mankato Mud Run will have 3 Mud Pits (or more!), a crazy creek run with tunnel, 2 long steep hills, a climbing wall, climbing nets, and many other new, fun obstacles! There is a challenging 5k race (3.1 Miles) as well as a more friendly 3k course (1.6 miles with only 1 hill) so that everyone can participate. While many race, walking is also permitted. There is a Costume Contest too!
The Mud Run includes 3 Mud Pits, a Creek Run with Tunnel, 2 long, steep hills, climbing walls, climbing nets, and many other fun obstacles! There is a 5K race (3.1 Miles) and a 3K course (1.6 miles with only 1 hill) so that everyone can participate. While many race, walking is also permitted. There is a Costume Contest too! There are competitive races with prize money and trophies. All 5K races will be timed. All Entrants receive Race Shirts, Goodie Bags, and Finisher Medals.
Aid Stations:
There will be a minimum of 2 aid stations with water. There is a medical tent with EMTs and a doctor on the course.
Awards:
Trophies go to the top two male and female 5K racers and top two teams.
There is an Elite race with prize money.

Spectators:
Spectators are free, and we have stands at the mud pits for observation.
Parking:
Parking is $5, so we recommend car pooling. Parking is limited near the race start line.
Post Party:
We have a post race party and entrants get 1 free beer coupon
Other:
There is a special kids wave. Kids are welcome and parents can go with them as chaperones for free.
All proceeds go to local charities in the Mankato area. Last year it went to: Mankato United Girls Soccer, Habitat for Humanity, and the Loyola Booster Club.
Kids Races: There are Kids Races for the 3K and the 5K. Parents are allowed to go with their children if they want, for free to supervise.
If you can't do an obstacle, you will be allowed to do 10 pushups instead.
Team:
Teams are permitted at race from 4-16 people per team. Team awards given.
