Course Description:
This course location promises to be something you have never experienced in good ol’ flat Florida. Welcome to Red Canyon! This is an 80 acre FDOT approved borrow pit with large quantities of earth materials in a number of 30' steep mud pits we have created for this race. All in all, they have left us with one impressive place to host a Warrior Challenge event. We designed this course and obstacles based on what the terrain has to offer. This run will be full of high elevation, innovative obstacles, beautiful wooded trail runs and unbelievable scenery.
Aid Stations:
During the race, there will be two water stations throughout the race course. Water and bananas will be available after you cross the finish line.
Awards:
Awards will be given to the top 3 male finishers and the top 3 female finishers in each division. In order to be eligible for an award, you must participate in the competitive wave which is the 8am wave.
The divisions are as follows: Male/Female 13-19, Male/Female 20-29, Male/ Female 30-39, Male/ Female 40-49, Male/ Female 50-59, Male/ Female 60 plus
The overall awards for each division will be given at 11am.
Prizes:
Military Team Competitive Division: This is the only competitive division that shall be awarded a cash prize of $1,000.00 for the 1st place overall team.
We love and support ALL of our Military branches and wanted to show it on race day.
Rules: (1) Must be active/retired military & provide military ID
(2) 4 member teams
(3) All team members must complete all obstacles
(4) All team members must cross finish line together to qualify.
Spectators:
$5 Spectator Fee. Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come cheer on all participants, listen to our DJ and enjoy our food and beverage tent.
Parking:
Parking will be available for $10 per car space on race day. Please have cash ready. Car-pooling is highly encouraged.
Post Party:
DJ, beer, food and fun will begin approximately 10 minutes after the first wave.
Other:
Warrior Challenge Mud Run has a timing option division. There will be clocks at the start and finish lines to self-time.
Warrior Challenge is only open to participants 13 years old and older. For participants under 18 years old on race day, your parent or guardian must be present during on race day at packet pick-up to sign a waiver and release for you.
Additional beer, merchandise, food items and other beverages will be available for purchase on race day.
We recommend that you arrive at least one hour before your wave time. Remember that you will have to park, pick up your packet, attach your bib and chip and make your way to the starting line.
Gear check will be available for racers to check their items during the race.
We support the military and several local organizations.
Team:
The only team division is the Military Team Competitive which consists of 4 persons active/retired military. We do encourage participants to create a team to help push each other through the obstacles and mud pits!
