Race Start Time:
First wave starts at 11:00am. Waves of five runners each will be released every minute or two, depending on registration numbers. Runners will be lined up in waves based off of their average mile time.

Course Description:
Our 5K follows trails, pasture, creek, pond, hills, valleys, and a beautiful view of the Smoky mountains. We have squeezed 30 obstacles into this inner-warrior-provoking 5K run. You will see a few of your favorites like our 16' Rope Climb, Over-Unders, Giant Spool Hurdles, Ladder Walls, Heavy Hoist, Balance Beams and more. And of course we have to create a few unique challenges as well. We call some of these the Terrible Tractor Tires, Sink Hole Scramble, The Angry Teeter Totter, Tree Over Troubled Water, to name a few.
Aid Stations:
We will have EMT's, police, and firefighters on sight and throughout the course. Water stations will be found at miles 1,2, and 3. Fruit, water, and free lunch will await each runner at the finish line.
Awards:
1st place runners will be awarded in five categories: Females under 45, females over 45, males under 45, males over 45, and teams of 4 or more. The awards ceremony will be at 2pm after the race.
Spectators:
Spectators can come for free. There will be fun activities for kids and families to enjoy.
Parking:
Free parking! Please carpool as space is limited.
Other:
Long View Ranch is a non-profit christian summer camp that provides a fantastic, action packed camp experience to both local and far traveling campers each summer. The Cherokee Challenge is not only a great way to grab your favorite palls and have a great time, but you will also be helping us raise scholarship funds so we can offer a week of summer camp to local youth and foster kids who otherwise could not afford to attend. Help send a kid to camp!
Team:
Team runners will tell us their team name as they register to make sure they are placed in the same wave.
