Course Description:

The courses are 5–7 miles and include 12–15 obstacles. It’s a true athletic challenge, designed to test all-around fitness.

Obstacles include participant favorites from last year such as Hat Trick, in which you jump off a trampoline, crawl up a cargo net, and slide into water. Another obstacle, Wheels in Motion, sends you across swinging tires, designed to test agility and core strength.

It helps to be a good runner, but you don’t have to be a trained marathon runner in order to be a Mudderella. You can go through the course at your own speed, and there are opportunities to take breaks from running at each obstacle. Remember, you’re stronger than you think you are.

NOTE: If you’re not comfortable with an obstacle, you may skip it, and – most importantly – do NOT try a water obstacle if you can’t swim.

Every Mudderella course is different and we're always look to add in new, challenging, and fun obstacles! Check out some of our current obstacles below:

  • Bad Date Escape
  • Skinny Jeans
  • Tough Tatas
  • New Heights
  • I Got Your Back
  • Head Over Heels
  • Hay Girl Hay
  • Ground Hog Day
  • Black Widow
  • Dirty Downward Dog
  • Ballsy Ballerina
  • Wheels in Motion
  • Break the Glass Ceiling
  • Hat Trick
  • Down to the Wire
  • 50 Shades of Mud

Other:

Stretch + Strengthen - As a participant on event day, the first thing you’ll do is get warmed up – and pumped up – with your fellow Mudderellas. Follow signs from the base area to arrive at Stretch + Strengthen 40 minutes before your start time to ensure a seamless experience and help us to avoid overcrowding.

Rinse + Revive - Rinse yourself clean in our on-site rinsing stations. When your hands and body are clean grab your bag from Bag Check and head to the revival/party area. Revive with on site yoga and massages – then celebrate with your fellow champions! Remember, Mudderella is all about owning your strong and living life to the fullest. Hang out, enjoy the music, food, beauty, and your fellow Mudderellas. You’ve worked hard, you’ve earned it, now bask in it!

Muddy Munchkins Play Area - Get ready for some unforgettable photo opportunities when you let the kids loose in our Muddy Munchkins play area. Just like the Mudderellas, kids can crawl and slip their way through miniature obstacles. We’ll bring the mud and the obstacles, don’t forget a towel and a change of clothes to clean up the Munchkins after they’re done. There is no charge for admittance to the Muddy Munchkins area, but a parent or guardian must sign a waiver and be present to supervise while their child is inside.

Mudderella and Futures Without Violence Partners to prevent and end domestic violence. Futures Without Violence is a national nonprofit that is working to prevent and end domestic violence. When you register for Mudderella, a fundraising page will automatically be created. Mudderella encourages participants to raise money for FWV by giving a $25 rebate to anyone who raises $250 or more for Futures Without Violence. When participants raise $1,000, you will receive an awesome Futures Without Violence messenger bag from Timbuk2.

We know Mudderella is pretty awesome and there are going to be some guys who want to participate. And that’s cool, as long as they are invited to be on a team by a female team member. Seriously, though – we’ll be checking.
It’s up to you. You can skip any and all obstacles you want. You do not need to be able to swim to participate in Mudderella. However, you must be able to swim, if you wish to participate in the water obstacles.

While you should wear what’s most comfortable to run in, we recommend lightweight clothes that dry quickly and a solid pair of running shoes. We’ll also have rinsing stations and changing rooms at the event, so feel free to bring an extra set of clothes and shoes to change into at the finish line.

There is a bag drop

Unfortunately we don’t allow others to pick up their friend’s packet. We also only distribute packets on the day of the event a Mudderella is scheduled to attend.
