Course Description:

We have 24 amazing obstacles! Our goal is to challenge you and push you to your limits with a combination of running broken up by various military style obstacles. The course is designed for people of all fitness levels to enjoy and have a good time. There will be plenty of volunteers at each obstacle to give you a hand if you need it, but be sure to give it your best effort!

Aid Stations:

We provide first aid, water stations, and people on stand-by for any emergencies.

Spectators:

Spectators are FREE of charge! We have plenty of food, beer, and fun stuff to keep you hyped as you wait for your friends and family to run the course.

Parking:

Parking is $5.00 per vehicle

Post Party:

You don’t want to miss out! There will be a FREE onsite After Party right next to the finish line, which means you have GREAT VIEWS of the last 3 obstacles!!! Live music from 11am-4pm. Food and beverages will be available to purchase from local food vendors. Beer will be available to purchase, provided by Woody’s Brewing Co. and Redding Distributing. Everyone can attend the After Party!!
Are you signed up for a wave yet? Do you still have some time before your run time? Head on over to the After Party to grab a drink before your run! No need to wait in a long line for your race time! Are you a friend or family member not participating in the race? Head on over to the After Party to listen to some great music, grab some food and a beer, and watch as all of the racers finish up the last 3 obstacles and cross the finish line!

Youth Options Shasta also known as the Youth Violence Prevention Council is a non-profit organization located in beautiful Redding California since 1996. Youth Options Shasta mission is to promote a safe and healthy community by providing positive options for youth. We achieve our mission through programs such as but not limited to; Shasta Youth Peer Court, Youth fire setting intervention, Youth Options Mentoring , Fresh Start for Youth Endowment, and Shasta Youth Leadership Camp (SYLC). Through mentoring our youth with these wonderful programs we teach them to build confidence, feel supported, and most importantly gain resilience. Youth who meet regularly with mentors are:
55% more likely to be enrolled in college than those without a mentor.
81% more likely to participate regularly in sports or extracurricular activities.
78% more likely to volunteer in their communities.
You may be thinking: “What!? This program fosters positive relationships and valuable resources for AT-RISK youth?!? AND it provides community-based outlets for young people to cultivate their leadership abilities!? You got to be kidding me!”
