Course Description:
This 5k is run over the hills and streams of Forever Safe Farm. There are 19 obstacles ranging from easy to moderate. The signature obstacle, ""The Camel Crawl"" is two humps that you have to climb up and over...in the mud...and underground!!!
Experience Hog Heaven in the aptly named obstacle that will have you jumping (without success), wallowing, and dragging your way out of the mud bog.
The Tire Tunnel will have you on your knees crawling through truck and tractor tires suspended on chains... hope you are agile for this one!!
Wetland Quicksand is a mud bog and tunnel system that is wet and wild... find your way through the marsh and then slip and slide up the incline tunnel.
There are many more that will challenge you and make you glad you ran the Camel Crawl!!!
Aid Stations:
There are five water stations located throughout the course and paramedics will be on standby.
Spectators:
Spectators are free to attend and can purchase a Pizza Hut Lunch Deal for $5.00
Parking:
Parking is free at Kent State Salem Campus and there will be a free shuttle to and from the Camel Crawl Race.
Other:
This is a race to remember that will keep you coming back. Mud, fantastic obstacles… a serious run for sure!!! All race proceeds will benefit 501(c)3 non-profit Forever Safe Farm Animal Education Center www.foreversafefarm.org, a true forever home to abused and neglected animals. The race takes place on the rolling pastures of the farm with the camels in view. There will be parking at Kent State University and we will transport you to the race. This is a fun “feel good” race for a very special cause… please join us for an unforgettable day.
