Course Description:
Run the Ridge is held at Maple Ski Ridge, a small family owned ski area in upstate New York. The features consist of untouched terrain from Mother Nature and builds created by some very cleaver minds looking to test your endurance and skills. Each year challenges are added to and redesigned- ready to offer every challenger a new experience every year. Mud, water, ledges, tires, hills, fire and many other types of things for you to climb over, under and get covered in!
Aid Stations:
For the day 'Event Medical Services of New York' will be on site. We offer two water stations on the course for the 5k. All spotters have radios for easy contact of EMS. Bananas and water is offer at the finish line
Prizes:
Register for Fast and Furious at 8:45 - All obstacles MUST be properly completed - Fastest Male and fastest Female will each win $250
Register for the Team Event at 11:00 - Your team must consist of 10 runners - All obstacles MUST be properly completed - All runners must cross the line as a team - First team to finish wins $1000
Spectators:
Spectators are free to watch and road - please feel free to share your photos.
Parking:
Parking is FREE - BUT - feel inclined to make a donation to the Special Olympics of NY
Post Party:
Full Spectrum Audio & Entertainment keeps the music going all day! Come for the challenge stay for the food, friends and to support your fellow mud runners.
Other:
This year Run the Ridge will be donating a portion of all registrations to the Special Olympics of NY.
All waves are timed with the exception of the Family Fun Run.
We do have a few water features, you always have the options to go around.
There will be a ""key check"" area for your car keys - there are also locker on site. Parking is close - items can be kept in car or in our main lodge.
We offer a public rinse off area and changing area.
Team:
Your welcome to race as a team, just sign up for the wave and we will announce your team name prior to the wave you signed up for. No special scoring, just great team building and memory making.
