Great American Hero Great American Hero features over forty obstacles to challenge your fitness! The first obstacle run has modified obstacles for all fitness levels. Choose to compete in the 5k or 10k course with two levels of obstacles at each site. Want to compete with those in top competitive fitness? We got a grueling course just for you. Choose to race in the 10k “Elite” wave, and we’ll pair you up with only the best. The “Elite Wave” is limited to the first 200 participants and will have an opportunity of winning the Great American Hero trophy for top male/female and gain Great American Hero bragging rights.
It’s the perfect event to get sweaty, get muddy, show your patriotism, and have fun!

Course Description:

The 5k course is a trail run with beginner, intermediate obstacles through the riparian habitat with varying terrain.
The 10k course runs the trail run, crosses lake either swimming or with rope tow, multiple advanced obstacles through center island of lake, back across and out of the levee, and ranch with more obstacles.
The 10k is considered to be more intermediate to advanced.

Aid Stations:

No aid stations will be available.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase at event.

Awards:

Awards for the top finisher in the Elite 10k will be at 10:00am.
Top finisher male/female will receive a beautiful trophy along with the title of “Great American Hero” and gain bragging rights.

Prizes:

The “Great American Hero” trophy and bragging rights for top finisher male/female in the Elite 10K.

Spectators:

Spectators are free and encouraged to root on their participants!

Parking:

Parking is free.

Other:

Packet pickup location and times will be announced later. You may also pickup at day of event. Lines will be long so arrive early. Download, print and bring waivers and ID on day of packet pickup.
Bring a change of clothes, towel, and a plastic bag for the ride home. 10k course includes water. We have new changing rooms available. Bring some cash for food, beer, and vendors on site. Limited ATM services. Valid over 21 ID required for beer.
Bag check will be available, but leave valuables at home or locked in cars.
There are no refunds. Dogs are not allowed.
