Organizer:Armed Services YMCA Mud Run Take on the most intense 8K on the East Coast and conquer 5 miles of sand, woods, water hazards, obstacles, & mud pits. You'll be grunting like a muddy gator towards the finish line! This race is open to both the general public and active duty military. If you have always wanted to see what lies behind the gates at Little Creek, now is your chance. All proceeds from the race benefit the Armed Services YMCA which provides programs for junior enlisted families.

The ASYMCA Mud Run is the most intense 8K on the East Coast. It consists of 5 miles of sand, woods,water hazards, obstacles, & mud pits. You'll be grunting like a muddy gator towards the finish line!
Our One Mile Mini Mud is perfect for the kids. Just enough to challenge them and get them and give them a chance to look like a sugar cookie at the end of the race. Our family friendly races offer something for everyone.
You don't have to be in the military to race, you just have to be tough as a gator!
There is a First Aid Station with route captains throughout course. The race ends with a beach party. Food and drink included.
Awards are presented to the top finishers in each category after the race.
Friends & family Can enjoy food and drinks for ONLY $5 with the purchase of a CHEER BAND! [available for purchase at the EXPO.] Bring them out to cheer you on!
Beer for athletes 21 & older, activities for children, music, pizza, & of course the gorgeous Chesapeake Bay to cool you off after your run! Plan to join us for our post race celebration with the whole family!
Non-participants can enjoy food and drinks with a the purchase of a ""Cheer Band"" at the Expo for just $5.
This is a major fundraiser for the Armed Services YMCA. We provide programs at no cost for junior enlisted military and their families from all branches of service here in Hampton Roads, VA.
Due to insurance regulations and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek & Fort Story base security restrictions, we cannot allow the transfer of a registration. All participants will be required to sign an adherence to base policy form during registration. Please read it carefully before signing. This race is open to civilians. Those without DOD stickers and military ID cards will receive a base pass and will need to provide a photo ID to access the base. Because the race takes place on a military installation, additional information is required of all participants during the registration process.
Teams must consist of 5 runners and they must cross the finish line together to be eligible for timing and awards.
Team categories include: All Male, All Female, Co-Ed, (At Least two female members) Public Safety (5 athletes, same department) Active Duty, (5 athletes, same unit) and Corporate (5 athletes, same company).
