Course Description:
The Rockman Challenge is a sprint triathlon with a twist. Paddle (4 miles) on the Rock River, bike (15 miles) in Jefferson County, then run (3 miles) through the woods is the triathlon. A military style obstacle course (12 obstacles) with “drill sergeants” at the end provides the twist. 50 yard bag hop to the finish.
Aid Stations:
Aid stations located at the finish line.
Water and fruit at the end and after bike leg.
Awards:
One award for each of the following divisions: Solo male, solo female, tandem team, team and family team.
Times will be posted online after race.
Spectators:
No fee for spectators. Viewing areas on most of the course and all of the obstacle course.
Parking:
Free parking.
Shuttles available.
Post Party:
DJ located at finish line will play until 3 pm.
Beer and fresh rotisserie chicken dinners available for purchase while supplies last.
Other:
Participants can go solo or with a partner.
Groups of 2-4 members can compete as a team or enter in the family division.
Ages 12+ are welcome.
Registration is limited to the first 300 starts.
Beer and food available for purchase.
Kids activities available.
One mile fun walk for all ages and abilities at 10:30 am begins and ends at finish line - fully paved path.
Team:
Tandem is 2 racers in same boat for the paddle and individual time for the rest of the race.
Team of 2-4 people.
Family teams encouraged.
