Race Start Time:

Starts at 10:00am. Subsequent heats begin at half hour intervals.
Open to anyone over 18.
Competitors are organized into staggered heats to prevent over crowding on the course.

Wild Warrior Challenge The Warrior Challenge is a Mud Crawling, Rugged Terrain, Extreme Obstacles, and Challenging Adventure Race to test your limits. The 5k obstacle course was designed to be one of the most distinctive races in the region. Inspired from National Guard training course, the Wild Warrior Challenge is intended to test the racers physical and mental toughness with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Military Family Readiness Group of Mon and Preston Counties in West Virginia.

Course Description:

This is an exciting fun-filled 5k mudcrawling obstacle course designed to unleash your sense of adventure. The course is inspired by National Guard training courses and designed by the WVU Army ROTC. The race is open to individuals and teams. Proceeds from the race Benefit the Military Family Readiness Groups of Monongalia and Preston counties in West Virginia. Obstacles include:

• 100 ft. Water Slide
• Roped Pond Crossing
• 500 ft. Mud Bog
• The Human Gauntlet
• The Tube Crawl
• Bedrock Crossing
• The Mud Pit
• The Military 100 ft. Crawl
• And a variety of climbing and crawling obstacles along the course.

Spectators:

Spectators are encouraged to come cheer on the athletes.

Party/Social Follows the Competition
All competitors welcome.
Must be 21 to drink alcohol.

Team:

Participants in the Individual competition will be able to form teams of any size and compete against other teams in the area. The TOP TEN times of each team will be counted and scored. Military Team competition is for military members only.
Teams must have seven, eight, or nine members to be eligible. The team heats start once the individuals have finished. Team captains will be notified of official race times.
The Military Team Competition will be held after the individual competition is finished. It will feature a slightly different course with a couple different obstacles. The Military Team competition is open to anyone in the military. To register mail a list of your team members’ name, age, military branch and a check for $120 made out to the Greater Morgantown Convention and Visitors Bureau.
