Course Description:
The Steelathlon is an urban obstacle course race through downtown Youngstown and the YSU campus. This 3 mile race is packed with obstacles such as a stadium stairs, telephone pole balance beams, and fire poles
The course includes lots of stair climbs and runs through the city landscape. There are also 10 obstacles throughout the race.
Aid Stations:
There will be fruit, granola bars, and water provided after the race. There will be water at two different points during the race.
Awards:
There will be medals for the top 3 overall male and female finishers. There will also be medals for the top 3 finishers in each age group for both males and females.
Spectators:
Spectators are free and encouraged to roam the course!
Parking:
Free parking is available at the Covelli Centre.
Post Party:
In Youngstown, we work hard and we play hard! Feel free to hang out after the race for the after-party. We will have refreshments, snacks, music and door prizes.
Other:
All proceeds will benefit The Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.
Kids under the age of 18 are allowed to participate with a guardian's signature.
