1.5 mile KIDS’ NINJA ADVENTURE (30+ obstacles)

Located at 7625 120th Avenue, Coal Valley, IL 61240

The run will go on regardless of the weather. In the case of extreme weather, the run may be cancelled or postponed a few hours.
CO-ED race waves start around 9:00 AM
Arrive 45 minutes before your time for check in.
There will be certain areas where spectators can watch.

There will be at least 8 obstacles in the main area. There will be a 1/8 mile walk to watch most of the remaining obstacles. The planned obstacles are: Pyramid, Balance Beams, Tire Run, A-Frame Climb Over, Log Jam, Mud Trench, 4-Foot Wall, Mud Pits, Rope swing and Creek Cross, Creek Bridge, and the Commando Military Crawl. We will have some special pre-run Ninja obstacles this year as well.
- The following obstacles will probably be in the main area: Tire Wall, Ninja Jump Boxes, Ninja Scaling Wall, Weight Lift, Cargo Net, Tunnels, Net Crawl, and the 4-Foot Wall.

1) How much is the Kid’s Ninja Adventure Run/Walk?

Early sign up is $29.50 , but there are price increases up until the event day so be sure to register sooner rather than later!

2) What does the event day look like?

Please arrive at the Kids Ninja Adventure Run / Walk 45 minutes before your heat time. Start by heading to the registration tent–there you will get your runners’ identification gel wrist band and bib. Once you have checked in, hang around and participate in our activities while waiting for your start time to be called. After you run the course you will receive a medal for your hard work. You can rinse off and hang around to watch other participants or pay the $7 re-run fee to run again.

3) Can I run/walk the course with my kids? (required ages 4-9)

Absolutely! Parents are required to run/walk with kids ages 4-9. We encourage parents to participate if you have kids aged 9-14 as well, but it’s not required. All parents are welcome to participate with their children. A $15 parent/guardian registration must be purchased by all parents—including the parents that just walk the course without doing the obstacles with their children.

We want you to finish the course in a time that is SAFE and comfortable for you . Most participants finish in about 30 minutes and walkers are welcome.

9) How hard is the course?

The Kids Ninja Adventure Run is a challenge, but it’s also constructed for all ages and skill levels. You might find some obstacles challenging and others a piece of cake. There will be a couple obstacles marked with a red skull that the 6-9 year-olds won’t do.

You will be running, climbing, and crawling so wear comfortable clothing that you wouldn’t mind permanently staining. Athletic clothes including shoes are a must. NO SANDALS!

Kids will receive gel wristbands before and during the run, along with your souvenir runner’s bib. After crossing the finish line, kids will be awarded a medal for their hard work.

We would love to have you run our Ninja Adventure Run course as many times as you want! After your scheduled heat, you can pay a $7 re-run fee and join in again.

Some photos will be taken and posted on Facebook. We encourage you to bring cameras and video recorders.

18) Can adults participate with the children ?

Yes : adults get to enjoy most of the same obstacles as our 5K run without any pressure. This is a great opportunity for first-time obstacle mud runners, as well as experienced runners, to check out the course and practice on the obstacles.
