Parking Info

Please follow the directions to the venue, then follow signs and volunteers directing you to your parking spot. Parking at the Orchard Beach site will be free of charge to all racers and spectators. We strongly encourage participants to carpool and arrive early to allow time to park.

Public Transport

The race site is easily accessible by New York City public transportation!

By Subway:Take the Uptown 6 to its last stop, Pelham Bay Park at which point you can either walk to the Orchard Beach race site (about a 3 mile walk) or take one the event shuttles. Event shuttles will be making continuous loops starting at 6:00 AM and running until 2:00 PM from Pelham Bay Park Station to the main event parking lot at Orchard Beach. To plan your trip from a specific starting point, click here.

By Bus: Take the Bx29 to Orchard Beach Circle and walk to the race site.


Course Information

5K Course Description

Mile 1

This course starts fast! Runners fly down the boardwalk with the ocean by their side. The course opens up as runners turn back towards the main event site.

Mile 2

The course passes the main event site and heads into the thick woods of Hunter Island. The course narrows here as it winds past the Orchard Beach Lagoon and over walking bridges.

Mile 3

Runners emerge from the woods ready for a water crossing through the Atlantic Ocean before they head back to the main event site for a dip in the MUD!

10K Course Description

Mile 1

This course starts fast! Runners fly down the boardwalk with the ocean by their side. The 5K course loops back towards the main event site as 10K’ers continue down a trail that takes them right down to the beach by the City Island Bridge.

Mile 2

Mile 2 follows the paved bike path along the perimeter of Orchard Beach and takes runners through down a wooded path back into the park.

Mile 3

Runners exit the woods and make their way down the flat path past the tennis courts, basketball courts and play structures.

Mile 4

The course passes the main event site and heads into the thick woods of Hunter Island. The course narrows here as it winds past the Orchard Beach Lagoon and over walking bridges.

Mile 5

Mile 5 winds through the woods as runners make their way back towards the picnic fields only to head right back into the trees.

Mile 6

Runners emerge from the woods ready for a water crossing through the Atlantic Ocean before they head back to the main event site for a dip in the MUD!
