Event Information

On Saturday, August 31st 2019 the Big Muddy Challenge is returning for our 9th consecutive event at Hill Ridge Farms. The BMC on Labor Day Weekend has become a tradition for thousands of families throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Family members of all ages are invited for the day to eat, play and laugh. Parking is $5 per car - so pack them full whether you're running or just cheering on family and friends at the Big Muddy Challenge event with us at Hill Ridge Farms!

About Local Fit Finder

The founders of the Big Muddy Challenge are an active bunch. From 5K’s to marathons, an adventure dash to the toughest mud run, we’ve done it. And, then something happened… WE HAD KIDS. Our time became less free & we saw little to blend our expanding families into our active lifestyles.

We were not ones to just stand on the sideline and cheer we wanted an event DESIGNED for us to do WITH our families. We couldn't find it - so - we made it.

The Big Muddy Challenge was created for adults and their children (Six and Up) to share the adventure race experience. Families and friends utilize each-others strengths and spirits to reach the finish line. Each BMC event provides a priceless family bonding activity along with an exciting new way to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship and a sense of accomplishment.
