From the makers of the Castle Triathlon Series comes an exciting and authentic endurance course race

6 or 12km endurance challenge course with 18 of the toughest obstacles, mirroring exact replicas of the Royal Marine Commando Training Centre.

This is the only event that can recreate the mud, sweat and pain of modern day Royal Marines commando training.

Each obstacle has three levels depending on the type of participant. Commando instructors will treat you in the way you choose. It’s up to you what level you pick:

• TREAT ME LIKE A COMMANDO

The experience will see you having the real deal. Commando instructors will beast you through the course in this endurance test of a lifetime.

• JUST GET ME ROUND

For adults who want to give it a go and older kids who are capable or any first timers to obstacle racing, Commando instructors will support and motivate you with insider tips.

• WE ARE FAMILY

For young children and families to compete together with support and encouragement from the PTIs.

The Experiences

Immerse yourself in the experience and become a Commando for the weekend? Available Friday 11th and Saturday 12th November, places are limited so book early.

Commando survival experience will teach you the rudiments of survival covering the following topics; fire making, shelter, water gathering, hunting and navigation

The Bivouac experience (authentic Commando camping) offers the opportunity to camp by the famous 'Catacombs of Doom' within Hever Castle grounds. Sleep amongst the elements under a camouflaged tarpaulin. Roll mat, goretex bivy sleeping bag and toilet provided, don’t worry we won’t make you dig a latrine!

Two lap toughie. Test you limit and add the option to take on two laps of this gruelling course which will see you getting 36 obstacles under your belt.

Do it like a Commando. If you think you need more of a challenge you can pre-order a ‘Do it like a Commando’ kit which consists of 21lbs of marine webbing and a wooden rifle to carry round the course.

The Charity

The Royal Marines Charity aims to raise funds to help provide a better quality of life to serving and retired Royal Marines and their families. Helping the wounded and injured, particularly as the most severely injured begin their transition into civilian life; quite simply, the Royal Marines Charity will help when others cannot. Spectators

Spectator fee applies.

Spectators are welcome and encouraged as the course circumnavigates the Hever Castle estate there are several spectating areas. The spectator fee gives you a full range of the Hever Castle stunning grounds, gardens and visitors entertainment, along with the event village which promises to be a hive of activity including retail outlets, music and food and drink vendors.
