I am an international obstacle course racer and I was very disappointed with the security of the racers at this event. My experience with all of my many races has me expecting the upmost professionalism from a race. There were very few water stations and the ones that existed were out of water. The obstacles were built very shady, with bad construction or craftmanship. The water obstacles were believed to be safe until my friends about got hurt and the amount of racers that did get hurt, were more then exceptable for an event like this. Mainly the water was not deep enough and racers would end up spraining or breaking various body parts. The lack of personal throughout the race was shocking considering it was 10 miles and some odd and dangerous obstacles. Hopefully this year they have learned an made NUMEROUS adjustments for the safety of the racers. Would be nice to have a solid race to attend every year so close to home.

I really enjoyed the obstacles but it was definitely unorganized. There definitely should have been more water stations especially since more than half of the run was on an incline. Also there was no where to wash off after which was kind of inconvenient. I thought the trails could have been more planned out then just throwing up an orange piece of tape on a twig. Did the person who created this trail actually try to run it? Because so many people were getting confused on where to go. Hopefully they'll have a more organized event next year. I love these events but wished this was more thought out.

Had a blast but am still recovering from dehydration. As other participants have reviewed: NO staff, NO water, and LONG waits for many of the obstacles. We kept time and were waiting for 45 minutes before finally getting to complete the obstacle. Really put a damper on the momentum. Cool venue though.

This was my first mud run and I had so much fun!! I have to say that it was poorly organized. Long waits at each obstacle, only one water station, not enough staff. The Mud was so much fun though!!

Injuries

Not enough staff at the obstacles. The water station was not manned and there was hardly any left when I got there and I was in the first wave. There wasn't enough water in the slide obstacle and the monkey bar obstacle at the end. I ended up shattering my ankle when I landed in the water and I'm down for the entire summer. I've participated in several mud races before...this wasn't my first.

Seemed poorly run. I was in the first heat out the gate, and by the time I got to the single water station it was drained, it seemed that only 10 gallons was left behind, no person was there to man the water station. Some obstacles were unmanned including a climbing obstacle, if someone was hurt it would be up to other participants to assist. While I had fun this was poorly organized. Hopefully if this is run next year they will be more organized/

This event did not appear to be very well thought out. The wait time for some of the obstacles was up to 15 minutes, mainly those with in the first 1 1/2 mile. Could have had more running at the beginning to thin the crowds to eliminate the wait time. Also only ONE water station on the 5 mile race and NO water at the finish line. Would not recommend this one for those reasons alone

The Ultimate Mud Run, Obstacle Race and Adventure Race Guide , USA 1.8 4.0 17 17 I thought it was a lot better organized than other reviews here are saying. At all the points where I was unsure where to go next, there were always little arrow signs attached to
