This was my first time - it was so much fun, my two partners were so into it, they were tackling me!!!! Unfortunately, they laughed at me a lot - or was it - at all of us. Great time, and I'm going to get family in San Antonio to enter in February!
Great Job
(your "Event Name" would not let me enter "other", so I just added the San Jose event - but I was just in the Tucson event this morning)

I did the Tri-State Kiss Me Dirty. I had originally signed up for the Brooklyn one, but due to Hurricane Sandy damage, they relocated to New Jersey. They ended up getting a charter bus ($6/head) for whoever wanted to still participate. That part was very well managed and the organizers were very nice about dealing with questions and managing the move.

The course itself wasn't too great - it would have been helpful if they could have trimmed the grass or at least scoped out the running path, because there were a LOT of hidden holes, and I twisted my ankle a few times trying to run it. I'm training for a half marathon and it wouldn't have been cool if I did damage, so I ended up giving up on the running and just walked it. The ground just wasn't good for this kind of event.

The obstacles were fun (Mud! Foam!), but the overall course felt very short, there's no way it was 3 miles. I'd say 1.5 miles, tops.

Overall, it was a fun event but I highly recommend the organizers to put a little more care into course prep.
