These haunting words linger in my mind in the aftermath of one of the toughest and most interesting events I've participated in; the 60h Spartan Agoge Class 002 which took place this weekend in Pittsfield, Vermont.

The book builds on De Sena's first book Spartan Up! to bring readers a 30-day workout plan which requires no gym membership or fancy tools. Two days ago, in the West Coast Spartans Facebook group, Michael Lopez-Paras shared a photo of a broken window on his car with a note saying his five years of Spartan Race medals had been stolen along with a few other items from the backseat of his car. Spartan Race responded.

Yesterday at Marble Arch in London a group of Spartan Race enthusiasts found out first hand. De Sena hosted a pop up workout for Spartan enthusiasts and anyone else who wanted to break up their workday with a quick lunchtime workout.
In some areas, the wall is beautiful; the stones you walk on and virtually every surface you touch is made out of bricks that were fired in a kiln. The structural ones were quarried, and the base is basically mounds of packed earth, but the wall becomes a sculpture on the surface. In other areas, the Great Wall is nothing more than a pile of rubble. Some parts have completely disintegrated and you'd never even know the wall was there.
This evening from Singapore one of the Spartan Race founders, Joe De Sena, took the time to talk to Mud Run Guide about the latest happenings with the company. In the video below Joe talks about the Agoge which just took place in Vermont last weekend. He talks about the Spartan Delta and how it fits into the Spartan Race ideals.
One interesting photo emerged on social media last Saturday, a 4-sided triangular "delta" with what appeared to be Spartan Race Trifecta medal holders on 3 of the visible sides. Speculation began immediately; is it just a cool triple (or quadruple, don't forget the bottom triangle) Trifecta holder?
New this year is the Experiential Zone in the ACC's Hall 5. Experience obstacle racing from Spartan Race; ElliptiGO elliptical cycling which combines the best of running, cycling and the elliptical trainer; inov-8 strength training for runners; and TRX suspension training, anytime Wed. afternoon through Friday mid-day, Dec. 2 to 4. A media demo is planned Thurs., Dec. 3., starting at 6 a.m.
