Terrain Racing Addresses Community Concerns

By |September 14th, 2016|

Earlier this month, Terrain Racing was the center of the OCR world after three races were postponed to 2017 and their registration system had a glitch in their system. This happened in the wake of BattleFrog Series closing up shop and the industry was still reeling from the announcement. Today, Terrain Racing issued an apology to the OCR Community for the undue stress the postponement caused on many who love OCR.

Last Week in OCR: Terrain, BoneFrogs and Harmony

By |July 25th, 2016|

The summer continues to roll on with obstacle races across the globe taking place every weekend. This past weekend OCR was everywhere from the Spartan Race European Championships, Terrain Races in Flagstaff, Arizona to BoneFrog Challenge in South Carolina. Rugged Maniac made a stop outside of Kansas City while Tough Mudder was outside of the Big Apple, with both a full course and a Tough Mudder half. With over 40 obstacle races and mud runs taking place this weekend around the globe, that is a lot of muddy, wet, and challenging obstacles to overcome.

Last Week in OCR: Memorial Day Weekend Edition

By |May 31st, 2016|

While the OCR calendar kept it light for the Memorial Day weekend, knowing many of you would be favoring family time on this Memorial Day Weekend, a couple of our favorites did not want to leave you all in withdrawals and came to save the day, with mud and fun before they let everyone go about their business. Many of you did indulge in other ways, however, be it at home doing a Memorial Day Murph WOD, or hitting the trails doing a ruck in remembrance of those we have lost. It was inspiring to see so many posts from so many people, getting in hard work, while giving tribute to our fallen military family.

Race Recap – Terrain Mud Run SoCal

By |April 7th, 2016|

Terrain Racing’s angry monkey medals invaded Southern California for the first time this weekend with 5k and 10k race distances outside the Storm Baseball Stadium in Lake Elsinore, CA. I’m a fan of this race series, and have run their Flagstaff race for the last two years, so I was eager to have them come to a venue closer to me.
