SARALAND, AL (March 15, 2019) – The best endurance athletes in the country descend on Saraland, Alabama for the second race of the 2019 Spartan U.S. National Series March 16. The premier Obsctacle Course Racing (OCR) circuit offers more than $110,000 in cash prizes for elite racers and will now stream on B/R Live as part of a partnership between the world’s largest OCR and endurance brand and the ultimate destination for passionate sports fans.
After February’s strong season opener in Jacksonville, FL, the swampy southern terrain in Saraland will set the stage for a heated competition as series leaders Ryan Kempson (men) and Nicole Mericle (women) seek to hold their No. 1 spots in the series against the biggest names in the sport including Robert Killan, Ryan Atkins and Ryan Kent in the men’s race and Lindsay Webster, Rebecca Hammond, Rose Wetzel and Alyssa Hawley for the Women. Ryan Woods who initialy sprinted to the finish in Jacksonville with runner up Atkins, will seek redemption after a five-minute penalty took him off the top leaderboard due to improper use of the truss on the A-Frame Cargo Net, the final obstacle of the race. The eite race unfolds along more than 8-miles of technical terrain with 25 obstacles on Spartan’s signature “Super” course.
The race kicks-off the partnership with B/R Live – Turner Sports’ premium live streaming sports platform, which will stream the race action for free on Sunday, March 17 at 1pm ET (Click Here to view).
