Matty Gregg – Santa Clara, California

How does this person typify a humanitarian as described in the definition above?

Matty raised over $30,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project last year leading up to World's Toughest Mudder. He personally bankrolled an “orphan tent” at world's toughest mudder with his own money and even when others took credit for it he never once publicly mentioned how much money he spent on it.

He helped get a team of wounded warriors to world's toughest mudder last year with his own money. He quietly and selflessly helped someone in need get to World's toughest mudder and has not yet been paid back (and I doubt he will).

Provide 1-3 examples of the nominee’s selfless acts within the past 12 months

1) Raised over $30,000 for The wounded warrior project. Purchased event themed socks for world's toughest mudder and donated all money collected from sales of the socks to the charity.

2) paid for and came up with the idea for the orphan tent at world's toughest mudder 2014. It's creation was to help participants without a pit crew with nutrition and motivation.

3) helped multiple individuals get to world's toughest mudder behind the scenes. This has never been announced to the public.
