Course Description:
The obstacle course has been designed to test your mental resolve and stamina, with an emphasis on tackling obstacles, not running a marathon. You can choose either the full course (10 km's + 30 obstacles), the half course (5km + 15 obstacles) or the 24hr Enduro which is held at our NSW event. The course and obstacles are confirmed closer to the event dates so we can not provide a list and description of the obstacles.
True Grit events are designed to test both physical and mental grit and are going to be challenging. Participants can make the course as easy or tough as they choose.
Aid Stations:
There will be several water stations and a first aid tent available.
Awards:
Participants can register for the 'elite' race which is timed and the 1st Male and Female to win this race wins prize money and other prizes plus bronze, silver & gold medals for the top 3.
Prizes:
A prize for the biggest team at the event.
Spectators:
Entry for spectators is free and encouraged to support those doing the course.
Parking:
There is always loads of parking and there is a small fee to use this. We also have camping options available for those wanting to stay the night.
Post Party:
We will have music and food vendors and a finishers area to celebrate.
Other:
The event will raise and donate money to Legacy Australia and Commando Welfare Trust.
There will be a gear check for a gold coin donation.
There is a wash/changing area.
Team:
No minimum or maximum members per team. The bigger the better!
Discounts for 10+ where everyone gets 10% off and after 10 people sign up, the team leader runs for free and gets their registration refunded.
Kids Race:
All race participants need to be a minimum of 16 years of age for the FULL course and a minimum of 12 years of age for the HALF course. Anyone under 18 years of age will need to have a guardian or parent sign a waiver for participation. Children under 12 years are allowed at the event, but only as spectators.
