Once upon a time…..
One day as I sat by our lake at Camp Edge, I was pondering on how I could raise additional funds to support our summer ministry to send inner city youth to camp and also have fun for everyone. Our wonder dog Oscar, a black lab, came up to me and snuggled up full of mud. He seemed so happy all wet, muddy and smelly. “Why couldn’t I share this fun with others?” So the “Muddy Bottom” was conceived. The “Muddy Bottom” hopes to establish the highest standard of fun, mixed with large doses of crazed runners, sick humor, and just plain dirty fun. Please come and walk, hop, skip, summersault or run through our unique event that benefits inner city youth going to summer camp.

Course Description:

The course has some slight hills. Flower, Jello and pasta pits to craw through. Two water crossings, You will have to pull yourself up a wall, then slide down into on of our mud pits., two bogs, and several other obstacles. We have a muddy back guarentee. If you have run our mud run, and you are not muddy, we will give your entrance fee back!

Aid Stations:

We will have an aid station set up as well as EMS on site.

Standard awards for various age groups- medals

Prizes:

Prize awarde for the best costume -- this years theme is Midieval

Spectators:

Spectators are free! They are welcome to stand by several of the mud pits to watch.

Parking is FREE We do recommend carpooling when possable as parking is very limited

The money raise through this event helps to support our summer ministry of sending inner city youth to Camp Edge for the summer!

We have one water crossing that is approximately 10 feet across and 6 feet deep. Rescue personel are on scene.

Hot showers are available while hot water last. We recommend that you bring a trash bag for your dirty clothes, and clean clothe to change in. You will get muddy, you will get Wet!
