Race Start Time:
First heat begins at 7:30 a.m. and continue every 15 minutes until 9:00 a.m. We will stagger the racers about 50 people every few minutes otherwise the obstacles get too jammed and the runners end up standing around! We want you to experience the freedom to complete the race on your actual time! If you don't care then take your time and enjoy the scenery of this beautiful park or spend some additional time in the mud! We hear it's great for your complexion!

Course Description:
This is an extremely challenging course with hills to climb and uneven surfaces. Runners will encounter 30 plus obstacles which includes deep mud pits. The obstacles include, wall climbs, over-unders, tunnel crawls, fire and ice! We have amazing dirt in the High Desert Region of California which turns thick and gooey when water is pumped the morning of the race. You may or may not come out with your shoes on! There are no guarantees at this race!
Aid Stations:
Aid Stations are imperative! We have five at various points along the course and our nursing program students will be manning the locations making sure our runners are hydrated and attended to if there are any bumps and bruises. Paramedics and the Fire Department are on site in the event of an emergency!
Awards:
Are you the fastest runner in a group of 2000 runners?
If so, you will receive a plaque and special recognition in front of your fellow muddy runners! the Awards ceremony begins promptly at 10:30 a.m!
Prizes:
It's so much more fun if you are willing to get wild and crazy in costumes! Don't be afraid to show your wild side and true colors at this race!
Spectators:
Come watch your friends and family and feel free to roam about the course! Why you are standing on the sidelines and not participating we won't question, however, next year don't be afraid.. Sign up and have as much fun as those you are out there supporting! We highly recommend car pooling as space is limited!
Parking:
Parking is free and we highly recommend carpooling! This race has become extremely popular and brings runners from all over the Nation!
Besides, gas is expensive! Share the love and share the ride!
Post Party:
Our beer garden is sponsored by Michelob! Every paying runner receives a free beer in the Rockin' beer garden! The after party complete with a live band continues for hours following the race! It's not to be missed!

Rockin' the Desert Mud Run is in its 5th year and benefits the Victor Valley College Foundation and the Sunset Hills Children's Foundation! No one leaves this race with a high five or a smile on their face! Bring a change of clothes because you are not going home clean after this run! We will wash you off with one of our multiple water trucks and showers rigged up by one of our amazing volunteers!
This is a timed race but if you don't care then take it at your pace!
