Race Start Time:

• 7:00 am - Registration, packet pick up and Bag Check opens (Must have valid ID)
• 7:55 am - Parachute Jump
• 8:00 am - Green Beret Challenge Competitive Wave
• 8:15 am 5K Assault Competitive Wave
• 8:30 – 11:45 am Non-Competitive Waves (every 15 minutes)
• 4:00 PM – Bag check closes (Unclaimed bags will be secured by Special Ops Series; after 5 days, bags will be donated to charity. $40 shipping charge for returning your bag)

Course Description:

Special Ops Series offers 2 races on the same day. You choose which one you want to do.


Special Ops' 5K Assault (on Childhood Cancer) is (3.1 miles) Terrain Run, which is the perfect introductory challenge for individuals, groups or teams to get the blood flowing and affiliate with our Elite Series. There are no technical requirements to participate in this event; however, you may encounter water obstacles along the way. The course is nestled in the landscape; the course provides spectacular views along the route. It's a great way to start your journey to becoming Special Ops Qualified!

The Green Beret Challenge is a 6 - 8 mile course designed by U.S. Special Forces, which requires a minimum of a 2-person team to work together and negotiate obstacles while carrying, pulling or pushing their way to the finish line. Bring your A-Game because this event is focused on problem solving, decision-making, and communication to complete five (5) Special Force type missions. The pain will be legendary, but the sense of accomplishment will last forever!

Aid Stations:

Yes! We will have 2 aid stations along the course; a minimum of 2 paramedics.

Yes, there will be fruit and water at the finish line as well as some KILLCLIFF.

Awards:

Award ceremony for the top 3 finishers in each race.

Prizes:

Just finishing our race makes you a winner! However, we do have additional cash prizes for the first 3 individuals/teams that complete the 5K Assault and the Green Beret Challenge.

1st - $300 per team
2nd - $200 per team
3rd - $100 per team

*Prizes are not awarded until after the final wave. Must be present to win!

Team Event – The Green Beret Challenge is a team event. You must have at a minimum 2 people to compete. There is no limit to the number of people on a team, but teams over 2 people ARE NOT eligible for the cash prizes.

Spectators:

Yes, so grab you sunglasses, cool guy attire, and come out and watch our Special Operations Parachutists jump to kick-off the event. If that does't get you off the couch, then come out and cheer your family, friends, and those that are about to enter into our brotherhood. Once you see how much fun and rewarding the experience is, you will want to sign up so you can become the World's Elite!

Parking:

$10 per vehicle. Follow the signs and pay attention to the traffic attendants. We recommend car pooling.

Post Party:

Yes, we have a post party featuring music, local beer sponsors and food vendors. Must be 21 years of age and over

Other:

Recommend your arrive approx. 1 ½ hours prior to your wave time
Wear comfortable athletic clothing that you don’t mind getting wet and muddy
Bring water, sunscreen, towel and a change of clothes. We will provide outdoor showers or equivalent
Only 1 bag per athlete; correlates to your bib number. Must attach tag to your bag and must show bib number to claim bag. Don’t leave valuables in the bag. Special Ops Series is not liable for any damaged, lost, or stolen items

Team:

Everyone is welcome to put a team together and run the 5K Assault. There is not a specific requirement to have a team to run this race.
