Course Description:

MUD HAPPENS -- One Bad Mud Run is an approximately 3.1 mile race featuring muddy obstacles where contestants slip, slide, and slosh their way to the finish. Obstacles are man-made and natural (use of Drake's Creek, creek banks and in/out of wooded areas). Our race course is designed for ages 10 and up. Children ages 10-12 MUST be accompanied by a PAID adult participant.
A FREE kids course will also be available to children 9 and under. The course will consist of small obstacles and other activities. Parents should not leave their children unattended on the kids course and parents will be required to sign a waiver before children are permitted into the area.

Aid Stations:

Manned water stations will be placed strategically along the course. Course staff will be patroling the course along with local volunteer fire department personel and EMS services. Water will be available at the finish line for participants.

Prizes:

Awards will be given to the: Fastest (Male/Female) and Best Costume (Male, Female, and Group)

Spectators:

Spectators are free HOWEVER they are NOT allowed on any portion of the course at anytime.

Parking:

On site parking is available at no extra fee.

BEFORE THE RACE: Race bags, runner wristbands and After Party tickets can be picked up the week before the race at the Family Enrichment Center located at 1133 Adams Street. Please adhere to the listed times as we are providing services to others in our building: Packet pick up will be on Thursday 8/25 (8:30 a.m.-4:30pm) and Friday, 08/26 (8:30 am - 7:00pm)
DAY OF THE RACE: Pre-registered (if you haven’t already picked up your packet) participants and NEW participant check-in will start at 7:00 a.m. Be in the park 45 minutes before your race time. Make sure you have on your wristband if you have already picked up your packet. EVERYONE PARTICIPATING MUST HAVE ON THEIR WRISTBAND!!! If you are in a timed heat – you will need to come to registration for your race number. You may want to bring portable chairs to sit in while you wait for your heat to begin and for the people rooting for you from the sidelines (who will be wishing they signed up because it looks like so MUCH FUN!). The day will most likely be HOT, HOT, HOT!!! So hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! You may want to bring some water with you. Vendors will be on hand selling drinks, food and other goodies! Runners should try to remember their heat along with runtimes to better locate their photos online. This is a MUD RUN! You WILL get DIRTY, Please do not wear anything that you do not want ruined or lost. (shoes and clothes have been known to disappear off bodies during the course of the race!). DO NOT BRING ANYTHING VALUABLE WITH YOU. We will not be responsible for anything lost on the course. We will have an area available to hold “small” items for you such as keys and wallets/checkbooks. (Able to fit into a QUART size zip lock bag.). Insect repellent is highly recommended.
Bring a change of clothes, shoes, a garbage bag to sit on, etc. for your ride home.
100% of the proceeds support the programs provided by the Family Enrichment Center in our efforts to prevent child abuse.
