Course Description:
The new year has begun and Mud Endeavor is as ready as ever. This course location promises to be something you have never experienced in good ol’ flat Florida. Welcome to Castle Canyon! This premium course resides on over 100 acres of untouched valleys with unbeaten trails and breathtaking cliffs. Castle Canyon is the site of a rock mining operation that took place in the 1920’s. Rocks were needed for materials to build roads leading to St. Pete, creating a big rock quarry giving us the “Canyon” part of the name. There is an old castle that lies back in the thicket of the property which was used for rock distribution and sorting when the Mine was in service. Now just the remains are all that is left, thus the name, “Castle Canyon”. All in all, they have left us with one impressive place to host a Mud Endeavor event. While in the off season, Mud Endeavor has been busy designing new obstacles. We design each course and obstacle based on what the terrain has to offer. This run will be full of high elevation, innovative obstacles, beautiful wooded trail runs and unbelievable scenery. Mud Endeavor is expanding and moving forward in the world of OCR, pushing the limits with every race. The 2017 season is ready. Mud Endeavor is ready. But the real question is… are you?
Aid Stations:
We have one aid station, paramedics on standby. We provide fruit and water at the finish line.
Spectators:
Spectator fee: $5.00. Spectators can roam most of the course freely and can get into the post party.
Parking:
Parking fee: $10.00. We recommend carpooling and it is not a remote lot
Post Party:
Post party to all!
Other:
Our event does give money to charity.
Minimum age is 10. We do not have a kids race.
Our event is timed competitive wave only.
You do not have to be able to swim.
We check gear and we have showers.
Team:
There are teams at our race. We do not have special scoring for the teams. Four or more people per team. No team discounts.
