Course Description:
The Irvine Lake Mud Run is an approximate +5k course beginning and ending at picturesque Irvine Lake. The course is partially on the road and partially on trails and includes hills, water (no contact with lake anywhere), professionally built obstacles and over a dozen mud pits. You asked for even more mud, you got it! You will get wet and you will get muddy. Be sure to bring towels and a change of clothing.
The obstacles are built by a master craftsman and include jump walls of varying height, tires to step through, ramps to run up and over, cargo nets to climb and crawl under and our amazing Mud Slide! But the ""main event"" obstacles are the mud pits. And there are a lot of them! More than two dozen of varying size and shape and depth (no swimming needed though.) And some with naturally formed dirt mounds (whoop-dee-doos) and hills. If you are not competitive, don't worry. While we encourage you to try each obstacle, if it is more fun for you to skip it, we won't tell. Our course is tough, be we're all about the fun
Aid Stations:
Water and porto-o-john facilities on the course. Also medical support on the course
Awards:
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female individual finishers in each 5 year age group for timed individuals only. There are no awards for teams.
Spectators:
It is Free to walk around and view the race course. Our Action Sports & Eco Fair and Food & Beverage areas are free as well. Entry into the Beer Garden and After race Mudfest is free for registered runners.
Parking:
Parking lots open at 7:45 A.M.
Parking is $10 for autos and $20 for preferred and RV’s.
Post Party:
Concert and beer garden areas
Live Bands for Entertainment in festival area
Food Sales: 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Beer Garden: 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Action Sports & Eco Fair Booths: 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Irvine Lake Mud Run will be benefitting Blind Start of America whose mission is to help blind and visually impaired persons learn and develop job skills to empower them to ultimately lead lives of independence.
Kid's Mud Puddles Race (Ages 2 - 12 * Ages 2-5 kids must be accompanied with parent or guardian over 18) - $15

: You will be given the choice to have your packet mailed to you, or to pick it up same day on site at the event for an additional charge. As we have thousands of participants it is logistically impossible to hand out all race numbers and t-shirts the day of the event, thus we have two packet pick up days at no charge.
Team:
The Team Captain will enter their self and choose a team name and password for the team. They will provide the team name and password to their team mates who will use that information and enter it to be added to the team when they register themselves. Teams can be ANY size, so get all your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to come join in the fun! Also note that for teams, only the 10:00am waves are timed and each team will receive one timing chip to be worn by the team captain. Team do not have to stay together but if you want a course time, start and finish with your team captain!
