Course Description:
The course is going to be designed and built by Mucky Races.
A hardcore 6km obstacle course which will require you to dig deep and test your strength, stamina and determination to its limits.
Aid Stations:
No aid stations will be available.
Spectators:
Spectators are free to attend but maximum of 2 per participant.
Parking:
We ask that you mindful that there is no parking at the course venue. Free mini buses will be transporting participants and spectators to and from the venue.
Other:
1. Places are limited on the SANDMAN 2014 event and entries are processed in the order we receive them.
2. The closing date for entries is either Friday 10th October 2014.
3. All participants must complete and sign the entry form either attached or online. They must pay £25 per person and agree to raise a minimum of a further £25 per person. Registration is non-refundable.
4. SANDMAN 2014 is a St Helena Hospice event to raise money for St Helena Hospice. We ask that all sponsorship raised is for St Helena Hospice, please do not request to raise money for other charities, trusts or funds.
5. St Helena Hospice cannot be held liable for injury, loss or damage caused or sustained as result of taking part, howsoever arising, nor can they accept any liability for any changes made to the event for safety reasons, or as otherwise planned through circumstances beyond their control. You are urged to comply with our safety guidelines and you are advised to obtain insurance to cover personal accident, material loss or damage to personal property and any loss or injury you may cause to a third party.
6. All participants must be comfortable that they are in good health and are able to complete the course safely. If participants are in any doubt regarding their health status, or have a medical condition that could be affected by exercise, they should contact their GP before registering to take part.
7. The minimum age of participants is 16. All under 18s agree that they have sought parent/guardian consent to take part in this event. This is due to the intense nature of the event. If friends and family wish to attend the event and use the facilities, under 16s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
8. Within the event pack, registered participants will find a summary of what the course entails. If, after reviewing the content of the course, you feel unable to partake please inform the St Helena Hospice event team as soon as possible.
9. Changing and bag drop facilities will be open from 9.30am until 4.30pm. Any belongings left in the changing or bag drop area are left at your own risk.
10. Photos and videos will be taken during this event which may be used to publicise this event and the work of the charity generally, by taking part, participants give their permission to be included in any material used.
11. The consumption of alcohol prior to or during the event is not permitted.
12. We will confirm you have a place in writing.
13. I consent to St Helena Hospice contacting me via telephone, letter or email for any matter relating to my participation in this event.
