Course Description:

499-yard Swim in Long Island Sound (open water to a buoy and back)
49 Burpees
199 Lunges
299 seconds of Plank Hold
79 Hand-Release Push-Ups
0.99-mile Run (on paved path in the park)

You'll have a judge to count reps (or call ""no rep""). Event is limited to 150 participants, so the water and course are not crowded.

Aid Stations:

Water stations, EMS on standby, post-event food and bev (including beer) available

Awards:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded in Men, Women, and Relay Team (all-male, all-female, and co-ed) categories.

Prizes:

If someone does something really outrageous, we'll recognize that effort.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome (and free) but must stay out of the way of competitors: out of the path to the water, from the water to the body-weight exercise competition area, from that area onto the running path, and off the path, especially at the finish line. Spectators are welcome to fight competitors for table scraps. Non-spectators who do not look as old as my grandmother will not be allowed to drink beer.

Parking:

Plenty of parking--short walk across bridge to course

Post Party:

We make this short and sweet: You want to get on with your day, so we let people decompress, eat, drink, brag, and then we start with the awards after telling you how much money we raised to help struggling kids. Then you're free to show off your 1st place award or nurse your (emotional) wounds over a cold beer while we clean up.

Other:

Team:

A relay team consists of three people and can be all male, all female, or co-ed. Each team member must individually complete two of the six activities. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded in Men, Women, and Relay Team (all-male, all-female, and co-ed) categories.
