Dirty Dan Dash The Dirty Dan Dash, presented by Danville Regional Medical Center, is a 3.7-mile dash through Danville VA's River District, Dan Daniel Memorial Park and along the Riverwalk trail. The course features various obstacles, challenges and one nasty mud pit. This event is a great run for first-time or avid mud runners. This year includes a fire obstacle, climbing wall, sand hill, mud hill and a few surprises!

After the race, join fellow Dashers for an after party, awards and a few dirty pictures (of muddy runners).

Course Description:

The Dirty Dan Dash course goes from the streets to the creeks, starting in downtown Danville, VA, crossing over an old train trestle, making its way through Dan Daniel Memorial Park and finishing at the Crossing at the Dan parking lot. The course is mainly flat but does include a hill or two.

Just under 20 obstacles mark the course ranging from a fire leap to several mud pits. We also have a berlin wall, log walk and tire run.

Aid Stations:

There are two water stations on the course as well as one at the finish line.

Awards:

Categories include top three male and female overall individuals and top three teams. Teams must include at least four runners and time is based on last runner's finish.

Spectators:

Spectators are free. There are viewing areas both at the start finish line as well as in the park.

Parking:

Parking is free.

Post Party:

Post party includes a meal and one beverage for runners. Dragonfly will be performing live.

Other:

The event is timed.
A portion of the proceeds go to the Youth Scholarship Fund.
The minimum age for runners is 8, participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
There will be a wash/changing station after the race.
There are no swimming requirements.

Team:

Teams must include at least four runners. Time is based on last runner's finish.
