Race Start Time:
Morning times are 8am, 9am, 10am and the afternoon times are 11am, 12pm, 1pm. We will send out an email to all participants approximately 2 weeks prior to race day with your start time.
Times are first come, first serve so the sooner you register the earlier you run! If you sign up as a team you are guaranteed to be put in the same start time.
We launch runners onto the course every two minutes, so you are guaranteed to start within a half hour of your designated start time.

Course Description:
San Diego, we’re thrilled to announce that the 7th annual Del Mar Mud Run will be taking over the historic Del Mar Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 24th! Get ready for a HUGE REVEAL in the upcoming months of a new and improved, truly EPIC edition of the mud run this year + all your past favorite obstacles!
A 5K race with 15+ obstacles and an after party unlike any other! The course will be designed to test your running, wading, jumping, climbing and balance skills throughout the mud intensive course! The multiple obstacles will be designed to provide a challenging and fun course for people of all ages!

Aid Stations:
There'll be 3 water stations throughout the course and ambulances on standby.

Medals will be given out each time slot for the following:
Fastest 3 males
Fastest 3 females
Fastest 5 members of an unlimited team (Fastest time for teams is calculated by adding the times of the fastest 5 times of an unlimited team. We do not average the times. The lowest total time for each top 5 members of an unlimited team will receive a medal.)

Spectators are more than welcome to view the race at no cost.
Parking:
Parking fee is $10 - we highly recommend carpooling (to be green and save some green)!
Post Party:
There will be plenty of food and beverage at our Mud Fest! Please bring cash and your ID to enjoy the day’s treats.

This is the premier sports and fitness program for American military personnel, veterans and first responders with permanent physical disabilities. It provides unparalleled opportunities to pursue active, athletic lifestyles by offering access to funding for equipment and training and competition expenses, Military Medical Center Physical Training (MMCPT) and sports clinics
We issue each participant a timing chip that is attached to your shoe lace. The chip is encoded with your name, race number and other information and allows us to quickly and accurately determine your race time.
You are required to run with your bib number and will not be allowed on the course without it. This is used for identification purposes as well as the race photos.
The Del Mar Mud Run is for ages 13 and up.
There is a rinse off area and private changing areas for males and females.
Mud likes to steal your shoes via suction so please ensure that you have boots or a style of shoe that covers the ankle. Some participants will use duct tape over their running shoes to keep them on their feet.
Loose clothes will slow you down especially if you have pockets that will hold water and mud!
We highly encourage costume-wearing to make it even more fun!
A bag check will be available prior to the race for keys, wallets, cell phones, etc.
A change of clothes and a few towels for post race cleanup is highly recommended unless you are riding in someone else’s car…then don’t worry about it!
