Course Description:
Steep, variable, alpine terrain exists. The course will take runners up and down hills, encountering 13 obstacles along the way.
Competitive: 5k/3.1 miles. Open:5k/3.1 miles. Kids (-12): 2k/1.2 miles. 3 Person Relay: 5k/3.1 miles. Family: 2k/2.1 miles.
Obstacles (subject to changes):
1.Mini Park Marsh- run, jump and climb over slippery terrain park obstacles.
2.Quarter Pipe Climb- scurry up a steep natural quarter pipe. Ropes available.
3.Log Roll- roll, carry, or flip logs down hill.
4.The Silty Slough- trudge through the deepest section of bottom land around.
5.Log Carry- roll, carry, or flip logs uphill.
6.The Traverse- climb over/around a series of walls, platforms and obstructions.
7. Swampy Start Ramp: Make your way over a slippery starting ramp....From the fun side.
8. Stampede Shimmy: Traverse across a series of narrow ledges attached to walls.
9.Bullet Bars: Monkey bars with a creative twist.
10.Pistol Pete's Pattern: Trot through a series of platforms, walls and barriers as you make your way downhill.
11.Muddy Maze: A narrow channel to run through.The only lines harder to get through are airport security.
12.Balance barrels: balance your way down a series of culverts, rails and poles!
13.The Rabbit Patch: get down and dirty as you crawl across our bunny hill.
Aid Stations:
First aid will be available on a limited basis at each obstacle, provided by Sundown Mountain's Ski Patrol. These stations are accompanied by a larger, more complete Patrol Room at the top of the mountain. Water and refreshments available at the finish line. Shower and modern restroom facilities available on site.
Awards:
Awards Ceremony will follow the end of the Family race. Prizes separated by class, age and gender.

Post Party:
Cool-down party follows the finish of each race and continues throughout the day. Food, beverage, kids and live entertainment available.
Other:
Sundown Mountain's Dirty Dash is timed 5k obstacle course race that offers runners of all ages and endurance levels a chance to test their grit. Runners may reregister as a Family, or relay classes. Or in one of the Open, Competitive, Kids' (-12) classes.
The course will be wet and muddy, where available, so make sure to bring a fresh set of clothes and shoes to change into after you rinse off!
Race will be held, rain or shine. Start times will be delayed if necessary.

3 person Relay:
Each runner will travel a little over a mile in distance cover at least 4 obstacles.
-Runner 1: Obstacles 1-5
-Runner 2: Obstalces 6-9
-Runner 3: Obstacles 10-13
*The chair lift will be available to take runners back up the hill from their finish points.
Family Class:
A shortened 2k/1.2 mile course featuring 4 obstacles built for all ages. Teamwork is highly encouraged, families must finish together! The fastest families.
