Course Description:
Our 5K course will have 20+ obstacles. The course is relatively flat and the obstacles are challenging. We strive for a family friendly course. Elite athletes will get a good workout and have a lot of fun. Weekend warriors will feel significantly challenged, and may find it necessary to work together at times to complete some obstacles. The course is a lot of fun.
Aid Stations:
We will have aid stations with water. Water will also be available at the finish.
A wash/rinse area will be provided at the finish. Paramedics or medical aid will be on standby.
Awards:
We will have awards for the competitive heat.
Awards will be given for the first male (any age), the first female (any age) and the first team of 4.
We will not have timing chips.
The winners of the competitive heat will be determined by the first to cross the finish line.
Prizes:
We will have prizes for the competitive heat. We will also have additional prizes throughout the day for best costume.
Spectators:
Spectators are free. Spectators can see some of the obstacles and will have a good vantage point for both the start and finish. Spectators are required to register and will need to sign a spectator waiver. Spectators are invited to the post-race party.
Parking:
Parking is VERY organized. We do encourage carpooling. There will be a little bit of a walk to the main race area, but nothing that requires shuttles. Parking is FREE. An optional bag check for $5 will be available for anyone that wants to leave their bag in a secure location near the finish line.
Post Party:
DJ. Family friendly. Costume contest. Kids area. Lots of fun and activities.
Other:
Minimum of 12 years on race day to run the 5K.
Minimum of 6 years and completed first grade to run the 5K if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Kids run for ages 6 - 11.
This is not a timed event.
Team:
We do have teams. Our registration page has an option for individual or team registration. The cost per person is the same, regardless of team or individual status. You may start your own team and create your own team name or you may join a team. If you create a team and want to keep your team private, you can password protect your team registration. Once a team is formed, we will keep the entire team in the same heat. We will do our best to keep you in the heat you request, but if we have to move you to a different heat (around the same time of day), we will keep the team together.
